Ziyech enjoyed a hugely successful season for Ajax as the Dutch club completed a domestic double and reached the Champions League semi-finals.

The 26-year-old scored 19 goals and registered 16 assists with Ajax last term and has been linked with a move to north London since the season ended.

But according to BBC Sport’s David Ornstein, Arsenal boss Unai Emery isn’t interested in signing Ziyech.

Emery will pursue other targets, even though Ziyech’s release clause is only £25m.

Ziyech would undoubtedly be welcomed to the club by fans who are crying out for more creative midfield presence.

The attacker is keen on moving to Arsenal, as he sees it to be his dream to play for the Gunners, as well as Barcelona.

“Well, I have two clubs. They are Arsenal and Barcelona. That is my ultimate dream,” Ziyech told Ajax TV in 2017.

And when quizzed on his footballing idol, he picked Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.

“Yes, I actually do have one. [Mesut] Ozil,” Ziyech added.

Arsenal are still keen on Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha, who the Eagles value at £80m.

But Palace were offered just half of that by Arsenal, who have a relatively small transfer budget this summer thanks to their failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Zaha wants to move to Arsenal, as he also dreamt of playing for the north London side as a youngster.

Palace are not interested in doing business with Arsenal even if multiple players can be offered up as apart of the deal.

Arsenal could also move for Barcelona forward Malcom, who only moved to the Nou Camp last summer.

But the Brazilian isn’t happy with life in Catalonia, having not played a great deal since he joined in 2018.

Barca would want close to the £36m they paid for Malcom, though, which Arsenal aren’t likely to be able to afford unless they can sell players of their own beforehand.
