Pogba has been regularly linked with a move to the La Liga giants in recent months.

The French midfielder has failed to hit the heights expected of him since returning to Old Trafford from Juventus in 2016.

He could be part of a clear-out by Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this summer with the Norwegian keen to revitalise his squad.

Zidane is also likely to make plenty of changes to the Real Madrid squad after a poor season.

Pogba is believed to be a key target but Zidane appeared angry when asked about the World Cup winner with two La Liga games remaining.

“It’s not just me that likes him, everyone likes good players,” Zidane said.

“He’s a Manchester United player and I won’t talk to you about players.”

There has been plenty of speculation that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez doesn’t want Pogba to join.

But Spanish football expert Guillem Balague thinks Zidane might force the transfer through if he can.

“He’s demanding other things like Pogba, which I don’t think he is going to get either,” Balague said on Eleven Sports.

“If he does, it’ll be his own victory. It’s one that he wants.”

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently claimed Pogba will stay at the club this summer.

He said: “You can’t guarantee anything in football but yes I think Paul is going to be here.

“I can assure you he is now very determined to succeed at Man United.

“I would say yes I can guarantee, but in life you can never.

“He will be as far as I can answer.”
