Lucas Moura scored in the last minute of injury time to take Spurs through to the final of the competition where they will meet the Reds.
It completed a remarkable comeback for Tottenham who looked dead and buried when they were 2-0 down at half-time.
Just 24 hours earlier Liverpool had done the unthinkable in beating Barcelona 4-0 at Anfield.
And that had left Manchester United legend Neville telling Red Devils fans to put their phones on airplane mode.
But after witnessing the Tottenham result, the Sky Sports pundit quickly took to social media.
Neville simply posted a huge Spurs club badge.
It was accompanied by the caption: “They really deserve this trophy don’t they.”
Neville will hope Tottenham can beat Liverpool in the Champions League final on Saturday, June 1.
Moura netted a hat-trick against Ajax to carry Spurs into the showpiece event in Madrid.
He said: “I don’t have words to explain this moment!”
“It’s very special for me, I am very, very happy and very proud of my team-mates.
“Of course, I need to share (this moment) with all my team-mates, my family, my friends. I always believed it was possible to come here, to win and to go to the final.
“We fought – that’s what we needed to do with our intensity.
“The second half was amazing and everyone did really well. I need to enjoy this moment – it’s impossible to explain!”
Tottenham now turn their attention to their final Premier League match of the season on Sunday.
Spurs take on Everton at their new stadium from 3pm.
