Tottenham fans loved the gag, and were quick to let compliment Jenas on social media.

One said: “@jjenas8 you absolute legend.”

Another went with: “Tweet of the day!!!”

One also went with: “You’re nuts @jjenas8. Trying to rope my guy.”

And finally, one joked: “Is that line drawn free hand ? Beacuse if it is .. fair play Jermaine.”

Arsenal and Spurs are going toe-to-toe for a spot in next season’s Champions League.

Both sides, alongside Chelsea, are in the running to finish in the top four but going into the final day next week, Arsenal look like they could be the side to miss out.

Arsenal sit on 69 points in fifth place while Tottenham occupy fourth on 70 points.

On the last day of the season, Spurs come up against Everton while the Gunners take on Burnley at Turf Moor.

If Unai Emery’s side miss out on the top four, they’ll need to try and win the Europa League.

In the semi-finals Arsenal are 3-1 up against Valencia with the second leg to be played at the Mestalla next week.

Spurs need to win their last game, having lost three league clashes on the bounce, in order to secure a Champions League spot.
